Michael Trust
Michael Trust is the principal of Trustworthy Coaching® and brings over twenty years of business, Human Resources management, and coaching experience to you when you engage his services as a coach.
Background
Michael has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, starting small businesses while still a teenager, and working his way through college, graduate school, and coaching school. Michael derives his biggest professional joy in life from watching the proverbial “light bulb” turn on in his clients’ heads as he’s coaching them. It keeps him motivated and focused on helping you.
Coaching
Michael’s areas of expertise in his coaching practice revolve around Career Coaching (all professions), Human Resources Coaching, and Real Estate Coaching. Michael is able to leverage his vast human resources experience, including deep experience either as a hiring manager himself or as a consultant to hiring managers, his knowledge of career passion and the idea of career fulfillment and happiness, his business skills, and his real estate skills to coach his clients to fulfill their passions and to live their dreams. Michael also uses this experience in providing outplacement services to small and medium-sized organizations who find themselves in the unfortunate position of having to reduce their workforce.
Other Experience
In addition to providing coaching services, Michael has been called as an expert witness in Human Resource matters in the Los Angeles Superior Court. Mr. Trust’s testimony has been used to validate or repudiate the application of and/or best practices related to Human Resources laws, regulations, or other related matters.
Networking
Michael is known professionally as a consummate networker, who takes the time to get to know people, and who is always willing to lend a hand. Michael is also known as a coach who helps people overcome internal or external obstacles to achieve at their highest possible level of success.
Education
Michael has successfully coached clients in a wide variety of fields. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Southern California, a Baccalaureate degree in Psychology from the California State University, Long Beach, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification and Senior Professional in Human Resources — California (SPHR-CA) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute/Society for Human Resources Management, and a California Real Estate Broker/Officer License.
In addition, Michael has studied coaching methodologies and practices used by CoachU and by the Career Coach Institute where Michael earned his Certified Career Coach™ and Certified Executive Career Coach™ certifications. Michael has also taught at the university level, and owned and managed his own real estate brokerage. Michael was also a member of two Board of Director subcommittees for his local real estate association.
