How I Work

My philosophy in my real estate coaching practice is to provide my clients with the tools that they need to become self-enlightened in order to make the necessary changes in their own businesses, in order reach their full potential, and to exceed their own expectations and goals. This process includes examining:

  • Your values
  • Your beliefs
  • Your vision
  • Your qualities
  • Your preferences
  • Your brand

This could be something like developing a more focused, impactful marketing program (brochures, collateral materials (postcards, flyers, open house flyers, television ads, print ads, Internet ads, blogs, etc.))

Goals without timetables and action plans are just dreams. Therefore, if we work together, and I coach you and/or your team, you and/or your team will be held accountable for deliverables.

The Process

In order to build a strong personal brand and to help you and/or your team achieve and then exceed your goals, we will work together through self-examination, assessments, and exercises that help us uncover your true beliefs, values, motivators, and cultural fit dynamics. We may also solicit feedback from people close to you. These assessments, exercises, and discussions will help you and/or your team to focus your personal brand, align it with your values, vision, purpose, and passions. You and/or your team are the primary partner in this journey; my role is help facilitate your self-discovery, provide guidance where necessary, and help you and/or your team become the best that you and/or your team can be. We couple this with coaching in the more “hard” or tangible areas of the real estate practice — the marketing, branding, selling, converting, etc. This applies to you and/or your team.

Once you and/or your team have this laser-like focus, your message to the world, as reflected in your brand, in your passion, and in your values will be readily apparent. In a confident way. In a value-added way.

How This All Works

  • You provide me with some background information
  • I determine if assessments or other exercises are necessary
  • We schedule any assessments and exercises for you and/or your team to do online
  • We set up a weekly schedule of telephone meetings (Email support is provided between telephone meetings)
  • We use the results of any assessments and exercises, as well as information from our meetings to begin to put together a plan of action, including branding, a personal branding statement, marketing, and other career resources.
  • We work on your lead generation, lead conversion, customer service, marketing, and closing skills.
  • Sessions last as long as you and/or your team feel them helpful — in some cases, they last for only a few months, in other cases, for years.

  • Review of current status
  • Review of current marketing materials
  • Review of current systems (lead capture, fax, faxback, mobile MLS, etc.)
  • Review of current scripts
  • Review of current marketing, branding, and “visibility” status
  • Coaching to assist you and/or your team in revamping, where necessary, the above, and in developing (or expanding upon) a brand strategy
  • Coaching on personality styles as determined by any assessments, and other feedback
  • Coaching on closing the sale

Assessments

Trustworthy Coaching® uses a variety of standardized assessments, where appropriate, to help facilitate the coaching process. Many of these assessments can be used for reasons beyond career coaching for such things as team building, cultural/organizational fit, sales styles, and the like. In addition to a number of proprietary exercises and assessments, based on the Authentic Vocation® and Quantum Shift® methodologies, Trustworthy Coaching® includes in its repertoire of assessments for all of its service the following standardized assessments:

It is most often the case that all of these assessments are not necessary. These assessments may be used if their use is warranted by the situation.

About Me

Michael Trust, California Real Estate Broker/Officer

Michael Trust is a California licensed Real Estate Broker/Officer (#01421287) who ran Michael Trust Realty for six years in a highly competitive area of Los Angeles. During those six years, Michael was also a Realtor®, and thus a member of the National Association of Realtors®, the California Association of Realtors®, and the Southland Regional Association of Realtors®, and had memberships for various parts of the six years in the Simi Valley/Moorpark Association of Realtors®, the Burbank Association of Realtors®, and the Combined Los Angeles/Westside (CLAW) MLS®. While Michael no longer practices real estate, he maintains his license in good standing with the California Department of Real Estate.

During Michael’s real estate career, he worked primarily in residential real estate, and branched into commercial real estate for a small percentage of transactions. During this time, Michael himself was coached by two highly impactful coaching organizations, and he determined that coaching, rather than practicing real estate, was where his true passion lies.

In addition, Michael Trust holds a Master’s degree in Management from the University of Southern California (top national program at time of attendance) and a Baccalaureate degree in Psychology from the California State University at Long Beach.
